Fathers and Daughters

The father of a daughter is nothing but a high-class hostage. A father turns a stony face to his sons, berates them, shakes his antlers, paws the ground, snorts, runs them off into the underbrush, but when his daughter puts her arm over his shoulder and says, “Daddy, I need to ask you something,” he is a pat of butter in a hot frying pan.

Remember when...

Gas prices were under $2.00? I remember when I was in college and living on a very tight income, I could gas up my Toyota Corolla with the change in my pocket ($2-$3) and be able to drive for the next day or two. I am still living on a tight income but $2-$3 worth of gas won't even take me around the corner.
