Remember when...
Gas prices were under $2.00? I remember when I was in college and living on a very tight income, I could gas up my Toyota Corolla with the change in my pocket ($2-$3) and be able to drive for the next day or two. I am still living on a tight income but $2-$3 worth of gas won't even take me around the corner.

I'm not even gonna admit how much gas was when I was young. Good to see you back. What's shakin?, Girl!

I remember when we were all freaking out about how gas hit $2/gallon in Hawaii for the first Persian Gulf War (gas is always higher in HI than elsewhere) and now we're at $3.39 for 87 octane in Seattle. Fortunately, I can ride the bus to work so I'm now just filling up maybe once a month or every six weeks.
