Warbirds

Shafter, California. A Warbirds In Action Airshow takes place May 14 at Shafter-Minter Field (MIT). World War II European Theater Aircraft and other warbirds. Also U.S. Air Force F-16 Heritage Flight.

Cool, looks like loads of fun. The show is from 11-4pm. I will be in Visalia for a wedding of a co-worker that evening, I am thinking of catching this during the day, especially the aerobatics.

  • They usually put on a great airshow. I haven't been for awhile and unfortunately I have a big implementation this weekend.

Last time I went I got to see Delmar Benjamin fly his GeeBee replica.

    It was pretty awesome.

Enjoy the show, take lots 'o pictures.

  • That looks like fun. I love anything WW2. Visalia, huh? You'll have to drop by Ben's and take advantage of his fairly recently-cleaned toilet seats:)

  • Very cool shows, those things are. We have them at the Venice Airport pretty often. You know, the Venice airport where some of the terrorists learned to fly but not land. Also where I lived in NY we had the Rhinebeck Aerodrome where they did weekend shows with vintage WWI planes. The shows were hokey but the planes were quite amazing.
