An Eye for an Eye
There have been so many reported crimes against children in the past several days that have saddened me a great deal.
I read the above article this morning and can't begin to stop mourning for the little girl. How does someone commit such a crime? How does a mother watch someone else commit a crime like this towards her own child? It's so unnatural and hard to comprehend. Yet it's been happening for years and continue to do so every minute ...
I believe crimes against children should be reprimanded with great severity. An eye for an eye!! I loathe the filth that committed such a crime.
As a parent, my life is my little girl. I am so over protective of her, that she often complains that I don't let her be "free". But the possibility of her falling victim to harm will be something unbearable and would probably cost me the rest of my life (because I would hunt down that son of a bi_ _ _ and crucify him).
Police said it was the girl's stepfather who actually killed her with a kick to the head and then used hedge clippers to sever her head.

I once asked a previous co-worker who was very anti-death-penalty if she would still feel that way if someone raped and murdered her 6 year old daughter.
It took her a while to respond but she said "I couldn't live knowing I put a man to death"
I'm am pretty calm about retaliation but when it comes to children (such as my younger sisters) what you do to them is coming back to you ten fold

Tyler - I'm with your same sentiment. I know two wrongs don't make a right, so I respect your co-workers beliefs. It's just a lot harder when it affects people you care about.

I'm just numb and speechless. I can't stand to think about it. The only problem I have with the death penalty is that our justice system is way too unreliable to know if they are executing the right person.

And that, my friends, is why I believe in the death penalty...

Here Here with Becky. The only change is make the execution take place overnight.

Bud: yeah :( I'd sure like to read the statistics on that...

A coworker brought my attention to this story yesterday morning, it put me in a funk all day. I couldn't get my mind off of it. Maybe it was the horrible vivid description they used...'clippers to sever the head'. I honestly hope he burns in hell for eternity.
And yes....overnight!!!

Sharron, yes I know what you mean. It was the "hedgle clippers" that got to me. I must have spent all night reading up on articles about her. Poor child.... so young and innocent. Probably haven't even had a chance to sin like the rest of us... :( Crimes against kids just bleeds my heart.
