Pine Mountain Music Festival Day 2
I can't contain my excitement from this Sunday's Pine Mountain Music Festival. I felt like a 12 year old again!! This is the best concert I have been to in a long time! Many thanks again to Divine Appointment Guitars for setting this up (Third year). If you were sitting around Sunday afternoon biting into a fast food burger hoping to find a finger so you can sue the fat-promoting joint, than you just missed out on some great music! When I mention folk and bluegrass to my friends, their initial reaction is "oh, like fiddler on the roof?". Not even close. Highlights:

Joe Craven !! a virtuoso of every instrument known to man! I forgot the Canjo!

The Waybacks guitarist - James Nash! He shook the place to pieces. The Waybacks (not all shown here) are phenomenal. If you like Hot Club of Cowtown, you will love The Waybacks.

Canadian bluegrass, The Bills were the last act and they rocked the place out by jumping unto the grass and dancing/playing amongst the audience. WOWOOWOWO! These guys are playing in San Jose next weekend and Templeton in Sept. I will be there!

These boys (The Bills) were in diapers when I graduated from Highschool. Stand-up Bass, Glen Manders, left me breathless with his Bass moves.
You still think this is "Fiddler on the Roof"? These pictures do not quite show the "excitement" of the day. Click here for a slideshow or pics of other musicians!

I have to admit, when you mentioned "bluegrass", I thought the same thing. But it looks like such a fun group of people. I love that most of them look like hippies too!
