Pine Mountain Music Festival Day 1

I am so excited to be part of this music festival. I volunteered to help out at the music festival this weekend and that entailed setting up at 6:00am on Saturday and Sunday as ticket salesperson and greeter. But that's a small sacrifice on a Sat/Sun morning to hear amazing musicians. Next year, I think I will volunteer for backstage, instead. I even put my daughter to work as pamphlet distributor and photographer(she took the one of the little girl).

Highlights:

Luthier Guitars -- these are hand made with Brazillian rosewood, koa and mahogany. I met Jim Robinson the makers of these Luthiers . The price tag on these - $4250.00.

The Palm Spring Yacht Club (30's Swing - my type of music), - "hand" music to Sound of Music's, "Edelweiss". A riot!!

Brian Joseph - talented songwriter. His lyrics are hilarous yet meaningful!!

Kay Moffat - she can sing the blues! Her Texan accent is sultry and soulful.

Tomorrow: Marley's Ghost (reggae & English Folk roots), The Waybacks (Swing), and The Bills (Canadian quintet).

  • Cool Aymiee. Sounds like you're having a great time, despite those early ass hours. Your daughter's too cute:)
