Open Mic Recap
Last night's Open Mic was a lot of fun. I wanted to thank Richard and Tyler for coming out and supporting/hosting the Open Mic. (Divine Appointment Guitars for the use of the PA system and also to Angel, Mariah, and Chloe - the girls of Cafe Vio - for staying late and making the Open Mic happen).I've seen Richard and Tyler jam at Ben's, but it was different seeing them live and performing in front of a crowd. They really sounded tight! The effects pedal Tyler used radiated beautiful ambient effects. Damn, I am proud of these guys!
Hi-lights for me were: Tyler's polyphonic techniques with blazing speed, Richard's singing of "Comfortably Numb" and Credge (Kredge?) local band's cover of a Pixie's tune.
I also gave my first performance -- hahahha. Had difficulties with chord changes (and everything else) as a result of sweaty/sticky fingers. ARGGH - nervousness!
I stoled these pics from RC but more pics here and at Tylers. Richard is playing at the Pit Stop in Paso tomorrow and Tyler has several musical projects in the works. Great talent - they could be playing in your neighborhood real soon!

That's pretty cool, and congrats on your live "debut" and have the courage to do it so soon after learning how to play.
So...that's where you got "comfortably numb" for that drawing.

I could totally see you and Sharron getting all liquored up and rockin' on stage...while I sit on the audience and giggle. It WILL happen one of these days.
